The Talmud in its discussion of eclipses (Sukkot 29a), specifically describes solar eclipses as being a bad omen for the nations who base their calendars on the solar cycle. The United States became a nation in 1776, with only eight total solar eclipses that have completely crossed the continent.
And when did they occur?…. The Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and the Vietnam War.
The upcoming total solar eclipse will cross the border into Canada, passing over a city called Economy, Indiana in the end as it exits the USA. Here is a visual of the pathway of the eclipse.
