LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
One person was killed and another was injured during a shooting near Jefferson Square Park Saturday night.

According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, officers were dispatched to 600 West Jefferson Street on a report of shooting around 9 p.m. When officers arrived they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police say Sheriff’s Department personnel were in Jefferson Square Park performing life-saving measures on the male who eventually died at the scene. The second victim was found at the Hall of Justice near the park. That victim was transported with non-life threatening injuries. Police did not release the gender of that victim.

It’s still unclear if anyone is in custody at the moment. Investigators say they are trying to gather information to identify who was all involved in the incident. The park will be closed as police investigate.
