Deputy Assistant to the President and member of the WH Strategic Initiatives Group, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, speaks to Fox News Channel’s James Rosen about the Trump administration, the new national security adviser H.R. McMaster, Russia, and White House leaks.
Gorka said that 8 out of 10 stories he reads in the newspapers about the Trump administration “have no resemblance to anything actually going on in the White House,” “no resemblance to reality.”
Responding to a question about Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and Russia, Gorka raised the “fake news” issue: “Given the source of the report where it comes from, I would have to have a little bit of skepticism involved. Because I really do think there is a fake news phenomena.”
“I come in every morning at 7am and open the newspapers, and I read these peculiar stories, 8 out of 10 which have no resemblance to anything actually going on the White House,” he said later in the interview.
“It is very strange… to read the story about an event when you were in the room the day before when the issue was being decided or discussed. And the representation in the mainstream media bears absolutely no resemblance to the reality,” he said, repeating the president’s statement that the administration runs like a “fine tuned machine.”
