Washington D.C. – Republican Senators secured the 50 votes needed to move forward on repealing Obamacare Tuesday.
Washington Examiner reports:
Republican senators on Tuesday secured the 50 votes needed to move forward on their seven-year pledge to repeal portions of Obamacare, approving a procedural move to begin debate and assemble details of a final healthcare bill.
The vote was held open while senators waited for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, to arrive on the Senate floor.
The vote begins as much as 20 hours of debate on the House-passed healthcare bill, the American Health Care Act, and a new bill will be swapped in its place.
The Washington Examiner also reported that Vice President, Mike Pence cast the tie-breaking vote as the Senate moves forward on Obamacare repeal.
The US Senate voted today to open debate on the Obamacare bill.
TGP previously reported, when the vote was announced, far left protesters began screaming loudly,
“Kill the Bill, Don’t Kill Us!”
It took the Sergeant of Arms and federal officers SEVERAL MINUTES to remove the far left mob.
This was unprecedented.
