Workers in New York City began work to remove the “Trump” name from three buildings after a petition and complaints from residents. The Upper West Side buildings bore the words “Trump Place” in gold lettering, but the signage came down this morning. The New York Post reported Monday that the company that owns the buildings, Equity Residential, had a contract to brand the properties with the Trump name, but the contract has now expired. “We took a number of issues under advisement, including input from residents,” Equity Residential spokesman Marty McKenna said.
